As part of the global Worley team, we enjoy shared resources and opportunities with more than 20 Canadian locations and 40 countries.\nWorley Canada Construction is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead procurement activities across complex project scopes, including engineered equipment, bulk permanent materials, and indirect project procurement.\nThis role is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle-from RFQ through award, purchase order execution, and closeout-while ensuring commercial alignment, mitigating risk, and delivering value to the project. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in negotiation, supplier strategy, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced EPC/EPF and Construction environment.\nWork Conditions:\nEdmonton Home Office based schedule. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProcurement Leadership & Strategy\nLead procurement for assigned project scopes, ensuring alignment with project schedule, budget, and execution strategy\nEstablish sourcing strategies for engineered equipment, bulk permanent materials, and/or indirect project procurement\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior buyers and procurement team members\nAct as a key procurement interface with project management, engineering, and construction teams\nProcurement Process\nReview material requisitions submitted by the project team.\nPrepare and issue RFQ/RFP documentation based on project needs.\nSource and evaluate potential suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery timelines.\nRecommend suppliers based on comprehensive evaluation criteria.\nPrepare and issue accurate and timely purchase orders (POs).\nSupplier & Order Management\nPrepare, issue, and manage complex purchase orders and agreements\nEnsure contractual compliance with project requirements and company standards\nIdentify and mitigate commercial risks, including scope gaps, schedule exposure, and cost escalation\nManage change orders, claims, and commercial deviations throughout the procurement lifecycle\nEnsure accurate and timely PO administration to support invoicing and financial controls\nClose out POs once all contractual and procedural requirements are fulfilled.\nCollaboration & Reporting\nWork closely with project management, construction teams, client representatives, quality control, project controls, accounts payable, and suppliers.\nMaintain a clear understanding of procurement workflows and client-specific requirements.\nEnsure alignment between procurement activities and construction priorities\nManage deadlines and proactively communicate scheduling issues.\nDistribute procurement reports to clients and internal stakeholders as required.\nMaintain a clear understanding of client-specific procurement and contractual requirements\nQualifications:\nRequired\n7-12+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably within EPC/EPF or industrial construction\nDemonstrated experience procuring complex engineered equipment and project materials\nStrong commercial acumen and contract negotiation experience\nProven ability to manage supplier relationships and resolve commercial challenges\nAdvanced skills in Excel and procurement systems\nProven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.\nPreferred\nExperience with Aveva ERM or similar ERP/procurement systems\nDiploma, Degree, or Certification in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering\nExperience working in both home office and field/project environments\nWorley strives to be an industry leader in health, safety, and environmental performance.
