This role ensures alignment with Worley’s policies, client expectations, and contractual commitments while driving project performance across safety, quality, schedule, and cost.\nManaging all phases of project execution-from early concept and planning through all phases of engineering and project delivery-the Senior Project Manager ensures technical excellence, strong stakeholder engagement, and financial success. This individual plays a critical role in strengthening Worley’s Power Delivery (PD) capability by delivering high-impact solutions that support behind the meter generation expansion, grid modernization, reliability, and the global energy transition.\nPurpose:\nTo lead complex and high-impact projects that support client and business objectives across the power and utilities sector. The Senior Project Manager oversees varying scales of projects and key workstreams within large, complex programs-ensuring alignment with strategic goals, technical standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations. This role also contributes to business growth through proposal development and strategic pursuits.\nResponsibilities:\nProject Leadership\nDefine and manage project scope, objectives, schedule, productivity, and budget.\nLead execution of power projects (generation, transmission lines, substations, distribution systems, grid modernization initiatives).\nCoordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and high-quality outcomes.\nCollaborate across different regional Worley offices to deliver strategic power projects. \nCross sector integration for clean and decarbonization projects related to power generation.\nHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE)\nChampion a strong safety culture across all project activities.\nLead by example in applying Safety by Design, Constructability, and Maintainability principles.\nEnsure compliance with Worley and client HSE standards and regulatory requirements.\nTechnical & Quality Oversight\nProvide technical leadership across engineering, procurement, and project delivery functions.\nEnsure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client quality requirements.\nPromote innovation and continuous improvement in project execution and delivery practices.\nFinancial Management\nDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.\nMonitor performance, track financial metrics, and report progress and variances.\nSupport estimating, benchmark metric development, proposal development, and business case reviews.\nExecution Planning & Performance\nDevelop and implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP).\nMonitor project milestones, KPIs, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.\nIdentify and implement corrective or recovery actions as required.\nAdopt and implement cost effective project delivery tools and processes.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Management\nBuild and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and stakeholders.\nServe as the primary point of contact for communications, progress updates, and issue resolution.\nEnsure customer objectives and performance expectations are achieved.\nRisk & Opportunity Management\nIdentify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.\nMaintain risk registers and implement mitigation and contingency strategies.\nIdentify opportunities to enhance value, improve delivery, and strengthen client outcomes.\nKey Competencies\nHealth & Safety Leadership - Demonstrates visible commitment to a strong safety culture.\nLeadership - Leads and motivates multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams.\nTechnical Expertise - Strong understanding of power systems and project delivery across generation, transmission, distribution, and substations.\nFinancial Acumen - Skilled in cost control, forecasting, and financial performance management.\nExecution Excellence - Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to scope.\nCommunication & Collaboration - Clear communicator who drives alignment across teams and stakeholders.\nCustomer Focus - Builds and sustains strong client partnerships through consistent delivery.\nRisk Management - Proactively identifies and manages risks while capitalizing on opportunities.\nWhat you will bring\nTechnical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:\nMinimum 15 years of experience in the power, utilities, or energy infrastructure sector, including at least 12 years in project management, technical leadership, or supervisory roles.\nDemonstrated experience delivering transmission, distribution, substation, or grid modernization projects.\nExperience across project phases including concept, feasibility, design, and execution.\nStrong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks within the power sector.\nExperience in engineering, procurement (EP) or EPC environments and working with global teams.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).\nAdditional Information:\nThis role is in California.
