Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nPosition Summary\nThe Senior Project Planner / Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing integrated project schedules for large-scale capital projects, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), maintenance, turnaround, and industrial projects. This role partners closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, cost controls, and client stakeholders to ensure project schedules accurately reflect scope, progress, risks, and resource requirements. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience utilizing Primavera P6, advanced scheduling techniques, critical path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting, and project controls best practices. The Senior Project Planner / Scheduler will serve as a key advisor to project leadership by identifying schedule risks and opportunities while driving schedule performance and project execution effectiveness.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Planning & Scheduling\nDevelop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 and other project control systems.\nCreate integrated Level 1 through Level 4 schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.\nEstablish work breakdown structures (WBS) and coding structures aligned with project objectives.\nDevelop baseline schedules and monitor performance against approved project baselines.\nPrepare schedule narratives, milestone reports, look-ahead schedules, and executive-level presentations.\nCoordinate schedule development efforts with project managers, discipline leads, contractors, and clients.\nEnsure schedule logic, durations, constraints, and resource loading accurately reflect project execution plans.\nSchedule Analysis & Reporting\nPerform critical path, float, earned value, and trend analyses to identify schedule impacts and risks.\nMonitor project progress and validate schedule updates from internal teams and contractors.\nDevelop schedule recovery plans and mitigation strategies for delays or deviations.\nConduct schedule risk assessments and what-if scenario analyses.\nGenerate weekly and monthly schedule performance reports for project leadership and clients.\nIdentify key milestones and provide forecasts for project completion dates.\nProject Controls & Stakeholder Management\nSupport integrated cost and schedule reporting activities.\nCollaborate with Cost Controls personnel to ensure alignment between project budgets, forecasts, and schedules.\nFacilitate schedule review meetings with project teams and stakeholders.\nReview contractor schedules for compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.\nProvide schedule guidance and mentorship to junior planners and schedulers.\nAssist project management teams with change management, claims analysis, and delay impact assessments.\nContinuous Improvement\nContribute to the development and standardization of scheduling procedures, templates, and best practices.\nSupport implementation of project controls tools and reporting systems.\nDrive schedule quality initiatives and compliance with corporate project execution standards.\nPromote continuous improvement within project planning and controls processes.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.\n8+ years of project planning and scheduling experience supporting industrial, energy, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, power generation, manufacturing, or EPC projects.\nAdvanced proficiency with Primavera P6.\nStrong knowledge of CPM (Critical Path Method) scheduling principles.\nExperience developing and maintaining complex integrated project schedules.\nStrong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup processes.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMP (Project Management Professional) certification.\nPSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification through AACE International.\nExperience supporting owner, EPC, or contractor organizations.\nKnowledge of Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA), Acumen Fuse, Power BI, SAP, EcoSys, or similar project controls systems.\nExperience supporting large capital projects exceeding $100 million.\nFamiliarity with earned value management (EVM) methodologies.\nExperience performing schedule risk analysis and forensic schedule reviews.\nKey Competencies\nCritical Path Analysis\nProject Controls\nSchedule Forecasting\nResource Loading\nCost & Schedule Integration\nProgress Measurement\nRisk Management\nContractor Schedule Review\nChange Management\nDelay Analysis\nExecutive Reporting\nStakeholder Management\nLeadership & Mentoring\nProblem Solving\nStrategic Planning\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
