The successful candidate will provide process engineering expertise across a diverse portfolio of energy, chemicals, resources, and industrial projects. Depending on experience, the individual will serve as a senior technical contributor, supporting projects through all phases of execution, from early studies and concept development through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up. This is a full-time position based in either Calgary or Edmonton, or Vancouver.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver process engineering services that meet Worley, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.\nPerform process engineering activities such as:Identify and report changes to project scope.\nAssist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.\nSupport procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities, including preparation of requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor reviews.\nContribute to technical studies, process design analyses, troubleshooting, and optimization initiatives.\nPrepare and review engineering deliverables including process simulations, design calculations, process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, equipment specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.\n\nParticipate in feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detailed engineering, and brownfield modification projects.\nEnsure engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers, when required.\nCommunicate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.\nMaintain awareness of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering.\nIdentify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and seek assistance when required.\nQualifications - What you will bring\nRequired Technical and Industry Experience\nDemonstrated process engineering experience within the energy, chemicals, resources, or related industries.\nStrong technical and practical engineering skills with the ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work.\nSolid understanding of the fundamental requirements of process engineering and the basic requirements of other engineering disciplines.\nWorking knowledge of applicable local and international standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.\nExperience developing process engineering deliverables for multidisciplinary projects.\nCompetent use of process engineering software and relevant tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, CAD applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.\nExperience supporting projects through multiple phases of execution, including studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.\nAbility to evaluate technical issues, develop practical solutions, and provide sound engineering judgement.\nFor Principal-level candidates, recognized technical expertise and extensive experience supporting complex projects within the energy, chemicals, resources, or industrial sectors.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical excellence across project teams.\nEducation, Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required:\nBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility to obtain registration.\nExperience within consulting, engineering services, EPCM, or owner-operator environments.\nExperience across one or more sectors including upstream, midstream, downstream, petrochemicals, refining, LNG, CCUS, hydrogen, renewable fuels, mining, or industrial processing facilities.\nFor applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $122,176 to $206,123\nApplication of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.\nMoving forward together\nWe’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
