The Senior Workface Planner - Instrumentation plays a critical role in this journey by ensuring instrumentation construction work is thoroughly planned, sequenced, and resourced to support safe, efficient, and predictable project execution.\nThis role is responsible for coordinating engineering deliverables, material availability, construction schedules, and field requirements to develop detailed Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and construction-ready plans. Through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement, you will help maximize labor productivity, reduce execution risk, and support successful project outcomes.\nYou will be responsible for\nDeveloping and implementing instrumentation workface planning strategies that support project execution goals and construction productivity targets.\nPreparing, reviewing, and maintaining Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and related construction planning documentation.\nCoordinating engineering, procurement, materials management, construction, and project controls teams to ensure work package readiness.\nVerifying that drawings, materials, permits, equipment, tools, and supporting documentation are available before work is released to the field.\nSupporting construction execution by ensuring work packages align with project schedules, milestones, and workforce requirements.\nIdentifying constraints that could impact field execution and collaborating with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery plans.\nMonitoring project progress and adjusting work plans to address changing priorities, field conditions, and construction requirements.\nParticipating in construction planning meetings, readiness reviews, constructability assessments, and schedule coordination sessions.\nSupporting productivity improvement initiatives through effective work packaging, sequencing, and resource planning.\nProviding technical guidance and planning support to field supervisors, construction management, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.\nAssisting with forecasting labor requirements, material needs, equipment utilization, and construction sequencing activities.\nCoordinating instrumentation installation activities including field instruments, control valves, tubing systems, impulse lines, analyzer systems, instrument supports, marshaling cabinets, junction boxes, DCS interfaces, loop testing, and system turnover requirements.\nEnsuring instrumentation work packages support calibration activities, loop checks, functional testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and turnover schedules.\nPromoting adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout construction planning and execution activities.\nPreparing reports, presentations, planning metrics, and performance updates for project leadership and stakeholders.\nCollaborating closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and execution strategies.\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workface planning processes, systems, and execution effectiveness.\nAbout us\nWorley is a global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts headquartered in Australia.
