Purpose of the role

You will support the administration and implementation of company environmental, health, and safety policies, ensuring that activities align with applicable regulations, internal requirements, and established procedures.

Working under close supervision and with regular guidance from experienced team members, you will help maintain EHS documentation, monitor regulatory requirements, and support the development of safe work practices. You will also contribute to identifying potential workplace hazards, improving work environments, and promoting awareness of environmental and safety responsibilities.

Your work will help strengthen our safety culture, support consistent EHS practices, and ensure that environmental and safety considerations remain an important part of how we deliver projects and services.

Core Responsibilities

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support EHS policy implementation: Assist with the administration and application of company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with established requirements.
  • Promote regulatory compliance: Help monitor compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations. Stay informed of regulatory updates and communicate relevant changes to the appropriate team members under the guidance of experienced EHS professionals.
  • Maintain EHS documentation: Assist with preparing, reviewing, maintaining, and updating environmental, health, and safety manuals, procedures, records, and other controlled documentation to support accurate and consistent information.
  • Contribute to workplace safety: Support the assessment and improvement of facilities, work areas, and work procedures by helping identify potential hazards and recommending practical measures to improve workplace health and safety.
  • Support environmental protection: Assist with implementing environmental procedures and identifying opportunities to reduce environmental risks, improve performance, and support responsible resource management.
  • Assist with EHS inspections and reviews: Participate in workplace inspections, compliance reviews, and other EHS activities as assigned, documenting observations and escalating potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement: Help identify opportunities to improve EHS processes, documentation, and working practices, contributing to practical solutions that strengthen compliance and workplace performance.
  • Collaborate across teams: Communicate basic EHS information clearly and professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and relevant stakeholders. Seek guidance when issues fall outside established procedures or assigned responsibilities.
  • Apply established processes and tools: Use approved systems, processes, and tools to complete assigned EHS tasks accurately, maintain records, and support consistent implementation of requirements.
  • Build technical capability: Develop an understanding of applicable EHS standards, internal procedures, and industry practices through day-to-day assignments, technical guidance, feedback, and ongoing learning.
  • Work safely and responsibly: Follow established procedures, demonstrate sound safety awareness, and promptly raise concerns about potential hazards, environmental impacts, or compliance issues.
