This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical engineering experience while supporting projects for the Power Generation and Power Networks sectors. Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, the intern will assist with the development, review, and documentation of instrumentation and control systems used in safe, reliable, and efficient energy infrastructure.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the preparation and revision of instrumentation and controls engineering deliverables for Power Generation and Power Networks projects.\nAssist with instrument data sheets, control narratives, input/output lists, instrument indexes, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and related technical documentation.\nHelp review drawings, specifications, vendor information, and project documentation for accuracy and consistency.\nPerform basic engineering calculations, data collection, and technical research under the guidance of experienced team members.\nParticipate in project meetings, design reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination with electrical, mechanical, process, and project teams.\nSupport the organization and maintenance of engineering files, calculations, drawings, and project records.\nLearn and apply applicable industry codes, standards, client requirements, and company procedures.\nCommunicate progress, questions, and technical observations clearly and professionally.\nFollow health, safety, environmental, and quality expectations in all assigned work.\nWhat you will bring\nTechnical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:\nCompleted foundational coursework in electrical circuits, digital systems, control systems, instrumentation, programming, or a related technical area.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nMust be able to work in office at the Reading/Wyomissing, Pennsylvania office.\nInterest in instrumentation, industrial automation, process control, power generation, substations, transmission, distribution, or other power infrastructure.\nExposure through coursework or projects to programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, human-machine interfaces, sensors, transmitters, or control system design.\nPrevious internship, laboratory, design project, or team-based engineering experience.\nAdditional information:\nWhat You Will Gain\nThis internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world engineering projects, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities to develop technical, communication, and project-delivery skills.
