This philosophy serves as an unwavering commitment to the customer, supplier, and shareholder, and it serves as the foundation for one of the strongest employee-employer partnerships in American industry.\nFor more information about our products, please visit http://www.worthingtonarmstrongventure.com\nWAVE is currently looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join our team!\nSchedule:\nMonday through Friday 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM or\nMonday through Friday 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM \nPrimary Responsibilities:\nThis position is responsible for supporting production of custom aluminum extrusions by cutting material according to specifications from blueprints/technical drawings.\nGeneral Responsibilities:\nUnderstand and follow written and verbal work instructions. \nSet up equipment and lay out fabrication project from blueprints/technical drawings. \nCut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw. Join material using adhesive and clamps. \nMeasure components and finished project/product using a variety of measuring devices to ensure correct dimensions within required tolerances. \nComplete roll tooling changeovers using hand tools and maintain equipment, supplies and machinery safely. \nTroubleshoot machinery, material, saw, measuring equipment and tooling and making adjustments needed for successful completion of project. \nVisually inspect extrusions and check against blueprints/technical drawings and report defects. \nParticipate in continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing activities. \nFlexible/adaptable to assignment changes, will jump in when help is needed and learn new things. \nMaintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times. \nPerform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order. \nPerform these and other related duties as assigned or directed. \nActively participate in communication and WAVE culture. \nMeasures of Effectiveness; including, but not limited to:\nSafety - OSHA rate, compliance with regulations/policies, evidence of risk reduction, engagement in 8-Step Safety Process, near-miss reporting \nQuality - Customer claims, quarantined product, ability to recognize defects and implement corrective actions through visual inspection while machine is in operation \nProductivity - Changeover time, PE%, downtime %, troubleshooting, CMMS activity, work orders \nCommunication - Shift handoff and line preparation, Gemba, kaizen event participation \nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED \nPreferred; Knowledge and experience of machinery in manufacturing environment or similar. \nPreferred; Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 6S, Six Sigma. \nPreferred; Experience in a fast-paced, high performance manufacturing environment. \nAble to lift a maximum of 40 pounds \nAble to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area \nBackground check required \nBenefits:\nComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance\nVacation\nQuarterly Profit Sharing\n401k Plan\nWAVE is an equal opportunity employer.
