The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager are to maintain and repair plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations while maximizing Process Effectiveness (PE%). This newly created position is responsible for coordinating project and work order schedules, as well as directing resources. The Maintenance Manager is required to supervise maintenance and T&D departments in the facility, leading preventive and reactive tasks.\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nMaintain a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOPs; always wear personal protective equipment as required.\nProvide safety leadership; drive a safety culture aligned with the 8-Step Safety Process and risk assessment.\nEnsure the application of appropriate OSHA and state safety administration regulations.\nMaintenance and T&D\nPlan, direct and lead day-to-day activities of both maintenance and T&D department personnel.\nGenerate work orders, track progress and follow-up as needed.\nWork with production supervisors, production personnel and maintenance personnel to ensure the facility and equipment is operating safely and efficiently.\nWork with production supervisors, production personnel and maintenance personnel to drive continuous improvement and ensure a safe work environment.\nEstablish challenging maintenance KPIs associated with lean manufacturing; support plant-wide lean manufacturing initiatives.\nAccountable for maintenance budget planning and tracking; identify cost saving opportunities.\nDevelop and execute effective TPM program; execute an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime.\nAssure that production equipment is capable of producing within the specifications and tolerances required by production.\nConsult with engineering regarding desirable modifications to existing equipment.\nAssist in and coordinate resources for the installation of major equipment.\nOrganizational Vitality\nDevelop, coach and manage a department qualified to maintain all equipment and processes in a safe and efficient working condition.\nCommunicate regularly with all department personnel, both individually and as a group, to ensure effective two-way communication concerning maintenance issues and best practices.\nStrengthen departmental teamwork and facilitate training and/or learning opportunities; foster team cohesiveness.\nMaintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance and T&D department.\nProvide backup to other managers, as needed, and support other miscellaneous tasks supporting plant operations.\nKey Ownership\nEstablish and define maintenance schedules with Planning to coordinate preventive, predictive and improvement programs.\nQuickly evaluate mechanical and electrical malfunctions and make recommendations for best course of action. Lead problem solving techniques and support team in the conversion of conceptual ideas into practical resolutions.\nWork closely with the Leadership Team to develop new processes and methods as required. \nDrive consistency and standards in maintenance performance metrics. \nEstablish and sustain effective relationships with all department managers in order to foster an environment where collaboration is applied to solve problems. \nMay interact with, consult, and manage engineers and vendors.\nUtilize and implement a work order system (CMMS) for the planning and scheduling of daily work tasks, weekly preventative maintenance and to track all work that is performed back to the equipment asset history.\nProvide support and technical leadership for the evolution from reactive to proactive maintenance (reactive to preventive to predictive to proactive). Manage tracking and reporting of reliability key performance indicators (KPI). Driven by KPI, develop new process and methods to improve maintenance programs.\nParticipate as a member of the Leadership Team.\nParticipate in continuing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies.\nL2L\nHold department accountable for data integrity, system usage, and compliance with established standards.\nMonitor performance trends, identify anomalies, and highlight risks and opportunities.\nUtilize data insights to identify opportunities for process and parts optimization.\nServe as a key stakeholder in monthly L2L meetings, contributing insights and driving action items.\nPartner with the Parts Coordinator to drive parts obsolescence initiatives and optimize stores and inventory management, ensuring accuracy, availability, and alignment with maintenance and operational requirements.\nLead the execution and continuous improvement of L2L workflows, ensuring maintenance processes are standardized, effective, and aligned with operational goals\nConduct regular check-ins with Area Managers and Operations Leadership to align on performance and priorities.\nQualifications/Skills:\nA minimum of 5 years of experience in plant maintenance and engineering.\nExcellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.\nStrong desire to drive company philosophy, goals, and procedures.\nStrong knowledge of equipment capabilities.\nExperience with Roll forming, stamping or related manufacturing experience preferred.\nAbility to delegate and promote team growth.\nAbility to coordinate work activities and manage multiple tasks and
