You’ll support both safety and environmental programs while continuing to build your EHS knowledge and experience.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead new hire safety orientation and employee EHS training.\nSpend time in the operation identifying hazards, assessing risk and supporting injury-prevention efforts.\nCoordinate safety activities, inspections and employee safety teams.\nSupport incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and follow-up.\nServe as a facility point of contact for day-to-day EHS questions and concerns.\nHelp maintain compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements.\nSupport environmental programs including waste and chemical management, oil storage, spill prevention and response, and universal/hazardous waste areas.\nCollect, maintain and report EHS data and required records.\nPartner with employees and leaders across the facility to strengthen EHS awareness, accountability and continuous improvement.\nHelp ensure Corporate EHS policies, procedures and best practices are consistently followed.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n1-3 years of environmental or safety experience in a manufacturing, steel or industrial environment and/or an EHS-related degree or certification.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements.\nUnderstanding of environmental compliance requirements such as SPCC and RCRA is preferred.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.\nComfortable providing training and presenting information to groups.\nOrganized and detail-oriented with strong recordkeeping and follow-through.\nSelf-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.\nThis is an opportunity to build broad EHS experience in a hands-on steel processing environment.
