The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production press equipment to meet established safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position ensures the timely processing of customer orders, monitors material flow, and performs quality checks to maintain product specifications. Performs first piece inspection using one or more method to assure all dimensions are correct and within given tolerances.\nMakes fine adjustments to machine to bring part within tolerances.\nOperates machine by performing all duties to run successive pieces, or to perform multiple operations.\nPerforms periodic part inspection per job instructions.\nPlaces finished material on a pallet or in a container with the work order number and piece part number on the top piece of each separate item.\nMarks pallet with appropriate tag.\nCompletes appropriate paperwork.\nMoves material to next destination and stages as required.\nDesired Experience:\nAbility to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, measuring devices, tape measures, and blueprints\nAbove average knowledge of machine process and steel defects\nAbility to write accurate reject reports\nBasic writing and math skills\nAbility to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions\nAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations\nAbility to perform all required quality checks and surface inspection of material\nThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds\nHigh School diploma or GED; or 1-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nForklift and crane license\nSafety training and procedures manuals\nWe will provide required OSHA safety training\nWork Environment:\nThis position operates in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to noise, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of an industrial production facility. The role requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements while operating press equipment and handling materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
