Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Product professional to lead the evolution of Work Management capabilities within WPP Open, WPP's AI-powered platform.
The candidate will have experience building or managing enterprise work management, project management and workflow automation. You will understand how large organizations plan, assign, execute, approve and measure work at scale, and how technology can remove friction from these processes.
Leveraging this expertise, you will closely collaborate with the broader product leadership team to ensure that strategy effectively aligns with and advances our overarching vision across the entire product portfolio and to provide our agencies and their clients with a competitive advantage through the application of data and technology.
This role requires a person who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, helping shape how work gets done across WPP while ensuring Open can integrate seamlessly into the workflows our clients use.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for Work Management capabilities within WPP Open, ensuring alignment with the broader Open platform strategy and business objectives.
- Partner with Product Leadership to shape a product roadmap, emphasizing value realization through lean and iterative methodologies.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, UX to deliver a connected Work Management vision spanning briefing, project execution, approvals, and operational reporting. Set clear objectives with teams and ensure alignment of plans and workstreams to achieve them.
- Design solutions that connect work across teams and agents, reducing handoffs and improving visibility from brief to outcome.
- Define product requirements for integrations with leading work management and collaboration platforms, understanding thier roadmaps to implement capabilities in close synchronisation
- Provide day-to-day vision, direction and motivation to the cross-functional product team, including product management, data analysts, engineers and product enablement.
- Utilize data to drive product strategies and plans, gathering quantitative and qualitative feedback from users and stakeholders to enhance product adoption and usage continually.
- Promote best practices of Product Management and Ownership throughout the team, identifying and implementing areas for improvement. Offer guidance and coaching to Product Managers and Product Owners to elevate processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Support development teams through definition of requirements, product reviews, user acceptance testing, and sign-off against requirements and specifications.
- Act as the voice of the customer by balancing platform priorities with the needs of agencies, operations teams and clients. Keep them up to date with strategic direction and the product roadmap, and communicate new product releases to ensure successful advocacy and adoption.
What you'll need:
- Experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or related roles.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise SaaS products, workflow platforms, work management solutions, or operational systems.
- Understanding of Project and task management, Workflow analysis, transformation and automation, Approval workflows, Agency best practice operations and delivery processes
- Direct experience with working with work management platforms and understand how these tools are deployed and integrated within agencies, enterprises, and client organizations.
- Proficiency in leading and implementing agile development frameworks for delivering technical products, coupled with experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
- Experience delivering products that integrate with third-party enterprise systems. Understanding of APIs, system integrations, workflow orchestration and data interoperability.
- Experience working with enterprise clients that require integration with proprietary or client-specific systems.
- Familiar with AI-enabled workflow automation and agentic systems.
