In this role it will be critical to embrace WPP & WPP Media’s shared core values: \nBe Extraordinary by Leading Collectively to Inspire transformational Creativity. \nCreate an Open environment by Balancing People and Client Experiences by Cultivating Trust. \nLead Optimistically by Championing Growth and Development to Mobilize the Enterprise. \nSome of the things we’d like you to do:\nImplement and expand upon WPP’s Measure reporting platform to suit the needs of the client’s reporting and needs\nDeploy data collectors in Adverity to gather data from media, agency system, and other sources\nDevelop and expand on existing data “recipes” and transformations in SQL via DBT run on Google Cloud Platform, borrowing and lending scripts from/to a central repository\nDevelopment and maintain data quality checks and procedures, helping stakeholders overcome data issues before they impact the quality of the reporting solution\nSupport the translation of user requirements and business needs into technical specifications\nBe a proficient user of Google Cloud Platform and associated technologies, ensuring your work incorporates industry best practice\nMonitor automated jobs, troubleshooting data issues as-and-when they arise\nSupport other members of the team responsible for “last mile” transformation and visualization of data within Google Data Studio reports and dashboards\nServe as a technical and professional leader for junior staff\nProvide hands-on support to users of reporting solutions, helping the wider team triage and respond to user queries in a timely manner\nAttending internal stakeholder meetings, presenting your solutions, and providing updates on your work.\nSupport the development strong working relationships with third-party data providers that we rely on for access to necessary data\nA bit about yourself:\nRequired\nBachelor degree in Science or Engineering\n6+ years experience in data engineering, preferably handling advertising media or marketing data\nProfessional experience with Python, SQL, preferably deployed via DBT\nAnalytically minded, enabling you to understand and overcome technically complex challenges, and to tell compelling stories with data\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in an autonomous way\nStrong spoken and written communication skills, ensuring your thoughts and needs are heard and understood\nAn ability to demonstrate a passion for the digital marketing ecosystem, and an understanding of the role that data plays within it\nDelivers best results when working in a team environment, and an ability to partner effectively with people of varying degrees of technical capability\nDesirable\nPrevious experience working with data and technology\nExperience with digital marketing platforms and the data they generate, in particular Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, Tiktok etc. \nAn understanding of how data is tracked and exchanged in the process of digital advertising (e.g. role of ad servers and other third-party tech vendors)\nExperience using or building reports with business intelligence software, ideally Microsoft PowerBI\nWork experience within a marketing organization, preferably at a media agency or related company (e.g. publisher, ad tech, client marketing org)\nLife at WPP Media & Benefits \nOur passion for shaping the next era of media includes investing in our employees to help them do their best work, and we’re just as committed to employee growth as we are to responsible media investment.
