Our team builds the foundational platform infrastructure and high-performance edge services that power WPP’s position in the market. With approximately one-third of global media spend flowing through WPP, our platform operates at the heart of a vast network and is deeply integrated with the largest supply-side partners in the AdTech industry.\nOperating at this scale presents unique engineering challenges. We are an engineering-led team focused on building robust, scalable, and highly reliable systems.\nWho We Are Looking For\nWe are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, evolve, and optimize our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. You will work closely with software engineers, QA, IT, and product teams to streamline development workflows, improve system reliability, and ensure our infrastructure is secure and scalable.\nThis is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building reliable platform solutions and is keen to use modern development and testing technologies. You will partner with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure our platform meets evolving business needs.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign scalable, cloud-native systems on platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform to support high-throughput applications and services.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp Terraform.\nBuild secure, multi-account and cross-cloud environments.\nOptimize cost efficiency for high-scale workloads and low-latency microservices.\nImprove visibility into performance and cost metrics across environments and workloads.\nDeploy and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications and microservices.\nImplement blue/green and canary deployment strategies.\nBuild robust automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo Workflows.\nAutomate testing, security scans, and compliance checks.\nSupport colleagues in making architectural choices about cloud services.\nPromote a small, coherent, and flexible configuration surface to reduce deployment time and improve release confidence.\nChampion DRY and DevOps principles through code reviews, documentation, and shared tooling.\nWhat You Will Need\n5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in enterprise-scale environments.\nStrong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.\nProven expertise in Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp tools or equivalent.\nDeep experience containerizing and orchestrating applications using Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nSolid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar, with an automation-first mindset.\nGolang knowledge is a plus.\nExperience implementing observability and monitoring solutions such as Datadog, Prometheus, or the Elastic Stack.\nStrong understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, load balancing, DNS, IAM, and security groups.\nExperience supporting large-scale technology platforms, ideally in AdTech or marketing technology.\nKnowledge of security principles, best practices, and compliance standards such as GDPR.\nExperience supporting multi-region, globally distributed systems.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner across engineering and product teams.\nA proactive, ownership-driven mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.\nWe believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection.
