If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.\nJOB DESCRIPTION\nThe position requires a high level of expertise in video editing and post-production, creating videos worthy of WPP Production. More specifically it includes the following:\nRequired to work independently but also in a team context.\nSetting up and operating computer editing systems.\nAcute awareness of deadlines, content requirements and graphic guidelines.\nStudying and interpreting scripts to become familiar with production concepts and requirements.\nFootage conversion and ingestion, shot selection etc.\nChoosing specific visual effects, music and special audio elements.\nWork closely with producers, directors and motion designers to meet specific goals.\nAssembling various audio-visual materials into a finished product with a high level of production quality.\nEditing video material into the various video genres.\nDetermining specific audio and visual effects and music necessary to complete videos.\nConfer with producers and directors concerning layout or editing approaches needed to increase dramatic or entertainment value of productions.\nCollaborate with music editors to select appropriate soundtracks.\nOther related editing requirements - grading, conversions, final material etc.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nFive years working experience as an editor\nThree years Solid Animation/graphic motion experience\nRelevant tertiary qualification\nExperience working with/for a production facility is an advantage\nExperience working with/for an advertising agency is an advantage\nExcellent knowledge of Adobe Premiere.\nA solid working knowledge of Adobe After Effects\nA working knowledge of 3D and 2D animation.\nConsiderable knowledge of the methods, video equipment, personal computers, and techniques used in the video editing field.\nAbility to visualize production scripts and other verbal or written instructions.\nAbility to effectively operate and maintain video editing systems and related equipment.\nKnowledge of online media and social media is an advantage.\nKnowledge of technical elements of video - i.e. formats, codecs, delivery options,\nSKILLS\nAbility to combine a creative eye with attention to detail.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines.\nOrganized and thorough.\nAbility to take ownership and responsibility\nAbility to give creative input and direction\nuploads, compression, web platforms (YouTube etc) etc\nProblem solving.
