For more information, visit WPP.com.\nPosition Overview \nWe are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a contract basis for an upcoming project with a high-profile client. The successful candidate will take ownership of building out the cloud infrastructure within a private AWS environment and building robust CI/CD pipelines for our development teams. This is a hands-on role ideal for a seasoned engineer who is experienced in delivering production-grade infrastructure that is reliable, efficient and observable. \nKey Responsibilities \nCI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows to support rapid, reliable releases. \nApplication Deployment: Deploy, optimize and provide technical support for a variety of serverless containerised applications. \nDatabase Management: Provision, configure, and tune relational databases, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and backup/recovery strategies. \n Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build and manage all infrastructure declaratively using IaC frameworks. \nMonitoring & Observability: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions for all services to ensure system health and rapid incident response. \nSecurity & Compliance: Apply best practices for IAM, secrets management, network security, and compliance within the AWS ecosystem. \nCollaboration: Work closely with our internal development teams to streamline deployment processes and foster a strong DevOps culture. \nDocumentation: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, pipelines, and operational procedures. \nRequired Qualifications \n5+ years of professional DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity. \nExtensive, demonstrable experience with AWS as the primary cloud platform, including deep experience building and deploying serverless and event-driven cloud applications on AWS. \nProven track record designing and operating CI/CD pipelines. \nExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS). \nHands-on experience with relational databases, including Amazon RDS and/or Aurora-covering setup, scaling, optimization, and maintenance. \nProficiency with at least one Infrastructure as Code framework (Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK). \nStrong understanding of networking, security, and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles. \nPreferred Qualifications \n AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) \nExperience building, running, optimising Docker container images. \nSolid scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or Node.js). \nFamiliarity with cost optimization strategies within AWS. \nExperience with database migration and schema management tools. \n#\nWhy work here: \n At WPP Production, you’ll help shape the future of content production at a truly global scale.
