If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.\nWhat does a Lead QA Engineer do at WPP Production?\nWe are looking for an exceptional and self-motivated Lead QA Engineer to support several exciting projects in Sunnyvale, CA. You will own the quality and testing efforts of the team to ensure completion of the quality assurance deliverables, adherence to quality and development processes, and drive on-time project releases. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality projects meeting our client’s needs. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects in a fast-paced environment.\nKey responsibilities:\nLead a team of QA engineers and SDETs, driving quality initiatives, establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met\nParticipate in all aspects of QA product lifecycle: scoping, strategizing, test case creation and execution including feature, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing\nReview technical requirements, author detailed test plan, and test case documentation\nIdentify, isolate and replicate software defects, research root causes, debug issues, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrences\nCoach, lead and mentor junior/new team members and coordinate internal knowledge sharing sessions\nEnsure that validated deliverables meet functional, design specifications, and requirements\nEscalate any QA issues to cross-functional teams and push for a suitable resolution in a timely manner\nConstantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approach\nPromoting QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices\nReport and drive increased test automation coverage in all areas\nAbility to handle multiple projects and adapt to priority changes in a fast paced environment\nLead the overall QA Activities, plan and assign tasks to the team to meet project deadlines\nCollaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Content Managers and Release Engineers to deliver projects on-time, ensuring the highest product quality standards\nParticipate in interviews, hiring, and on-boarding of new hires\nRequirements:\n6+ years of experience testing both web and mobile applications\n2+ years of experience in leading quality engineering teams, in a highly hands-on role\nSolid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes\nHands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, implementing and maintaining quality test automation.\nCoding experience with object oriented programming languages, preferably JavaScript\nExperience with automation scripts using tools like, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Protractor, Mocha, Jasmine, TestNG\nGood understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, JSON and REST APIs\nGood understanding of modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, Angular\nExperience with databases, API, backend systems, and mobile testing (iOS/Android)\nExperience with GitLab and continuous integration build system such as Jenkins\nAbility to lead QA teams and mentor junior team members\nAbility to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results\nAbility to articulate vision and manage deliverables\nBachelors in Computer Science or equivalent\nExcellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation with a dynamic attitude\nThe base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
