If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.\nWhat does a Technical Content Manager do at WPP Production?\nThe Content Management organization at WPP Productions is responsible for publishing creative assets, experiences, and critical digital content to our client websites and other platforms across the globe. A Technical Content Manager reports to the Head of Content Management and works closely with both the Content Management organization and external teams to examine processes and systems in order to encourage standardization and identify potential for improvement, and ensure client interactive deliverables are completed accurately and on time. This includes ownership of the content management and publishing operations in support of our client’s product launches and other digital marketing programs, including setting up and managing page structure and content in a CMS (content management system).\nCore responsibilities of a Technical Program Manager include monitoring and analyzing current processes and system features/bugs from the point of view of the Interactive Content Management team. This role produces recommendations for process and system improvements where possible; disseminates information to internal and external teams when applicable; performs some day-to-day content management tasks; facilitates cross-functional collaboration across the Marcom organization; and maintains full knowledge of an ever-changing set of tools and processes.The Technical Program Manager also actively elevates the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of the Interactive Content Management team.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn the content management approach to workflow and toolsets\nWork with the CM and producer teams to identify gaps in workflow and toolsets\nMake recommendations for improvements to workflow and toolsets\nWork across functional stakeholder groups to define use cases, functional requirements, and enhancements for content management platforms.\nRepresent content management in platform/workflow strategic initiatives, e.g. user acceptance testing, side projects to explore new workflows or tools.\nManage builds of content management platforms, including testing and training other team members\nAct as a source of truth for the content management team with regards to process, workflow, systems, and tools\nCreate documentation and training materials for assigned CMS and publishing platforms\nWork with the content management and developer teams to standardize page structures and agree upon project approaches\nMaintain complete understanding of complexities of CMS and other internal tools\nTroubleshoot system issues as a part of the first line of defense\nContribute to the evolution of internal platforms and processes by providing feedback on toolsets, UI, best practices, and workflow optimization\nOwn documentation initiatives for applicable projects, including creating new documentation, updating old documentation, organizing the team wiki, and disseminating that information to the team for both day-to-day and training needs\nCollaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams \nActively balance the work of monitoring and analyzing system issues, organizing and prioritizing feedback, documenting issues and solutions, making contributions to project work, and standardizing approach and best practices for the content management team in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment\nRequirements:\nA Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferably with a focus on marketing, design, or communication\n5+ years experience working on web production teams\nMastery of Adobe Experience Manager or other CMS\nKnowledge of HTML, XML, JSON, and enterprise CMS a plus\nExperience with localization and managing content for a global audience, using a CMS\nDeep knowledge of how content management and other related system processes work\nRecord of troubleshooting and diagnosing CMS issues, and communicating those issues to both technical and non-technical personnel\nExperience in building out new or proprietary CMS \nDemonstrated success in business process improvement and re-engineering\nProven ability to manage ambiguity effectively\nExperience creating and managing internal tools a plus\nExcellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work with others in an unpredictable environment\nFlexible schedule to deal with rapidly-changing, time-constrained launch schedules\nHigh degree of ownership and accountability\nAble to balance and prioritize multiple projects and assignments\nHighly detail-oriented, organized, and patient\nFamiliarity with Git and Typescript a plus \nExperience working with third party agencies, interfacing with client\nWhy work here: \n At WPP Production, you’ll help shape the future of content production at a truly global scale.
