As an Automation QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and maintaining automated test coverage, executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. You will help sustain the reliability of our platform under a trunk-based, continuously delivered way of working. We encourage applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAs an Automation Quality Analyst, you will:\nAnalyse business requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable test cases and automation coverage.\nDevelop, document and execute detailed test plans and test cases.\nDesign and automate end-to-end tests using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.\nImplement and maintain test automation frameworks.\nExecute automated and manual test cases, and perform both formal and exploratory testing.\nConduct regression testing to verify that resolved issues do not affect existing functionality.\nIdentify, document and track defects using bug tracking tools, providing clear and concise descriptions of issues.\nReview test cases and automated tests written by other QA engineers.\nEmbed automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline, keeping merge-gate and nightly regression suites reliable.\nInvestigate and address test flakiness to maintain confidence in automated results.\nParticipate in design and requirement reviews, providing input on testability and quality risks.\nCollaborate with developers to identify the root cause of issues.\nWork with the DevOps and SRE teams to ensure test environments and test data are stable and available.\nLead testing activities during sprint and release cycles.\nCommunicate complex issues clearly to both business and technical teams, and report test results to stakeholders.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.\nStay up to date with industry trends and best practice in software testing and test automation.\nSkill Requirements:\nWe understand that candidates may not have every single skill listed below. We encourage you to apply if you possess a strong foundation in automation QA and a willingness to learn and grow.\n3-5 years' proven experience as a QA engineer or in a similar role, including hands-on test automation.\nSolid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and processes, and of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).\nExperience testing complex web applications.\nHands-on knowledge of Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.\nExperience implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks.\nKnowledge of CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.\nKnowledge and experience of API testing (Postman or any other similar tool).\nExperience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail).\nAbility to lead testing activities during sprint and release.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying issues and inconsistencies.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nA bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.\nDesirable experience\nExperience working in a trunk-based development and continuous delivery environment.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development and testing tooling.\nFamiliarity with basic SQL queries for database validation.\nExposure to performance testing concepts.\nExperience stabilising large end-to-end regression suites and reducing automation debt.\nWe believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection.
