We're committed to fostering a culture of creativity, belonging and continuous learning, attracting and developing the brightest talent, and providing exciting career opportunities that help our people grow. \n\nFor more information, visit WPP.com.\n\nWhy we're hiring:\nWe are expanding our data science capability to develop a state-of-the-art system for estimating and understanding the size and characteristics of marketing and advertising audiences.\nThis role offers the opportunity to apply Bayesian statistics, advanced mathematical thinking and production-quality engineering to complex problems with meaningful industry impact.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDevelop and implement Bayesian statistical models and other advanced analytical methods to estimate audience sizes and characteristics.\nTranslate complex mathematical and statistical questions into robust, explainable data-driven solutions.\nBuild and maintain production-ready Python packages, including unit tests and clear technical documentation.\nCollaborate with data scientists, engineers and other specialists to design, build and refine analytical solutions.\nWork with diverse data formats and help maintain data quality and integrity throughout the analytics pipeline.\nUse cloud computing resources to support scalable data processing and model deployment.\nContribute to Git repositories, code reviews and sound version-control practices while adapting to evolving priorities.\nWho You’ll Be Working With\nYou’ll join a multidisciplinary team working on challenging statistical, mathematical and conceptual problems. The team values rigorous thinking, open discussion, knowledge sharing and practical solutions.\nYou’ll collaborate closely with colleagues who bring different technical perspectives and areas of expertise, contributing to an environment where ideas are tested constructively and improved together.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nAdvanced knowledge of probability and statistics, including a strong foundation in Bayesian methods, gained through postgraduate study or equivalent professional experience.\nAdvanced Python programming skills, including package development, unit testing and working with multiple data formats.\nDemonstrated ability to solve complex mathematical, statistical or conceptual problems.\nExperience using Git, repositories and collaborative code-review practices.\nExperience with a cloud computing platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure.\nThe ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.\nA thoughtful, structured approach to exploring unfamiliar problems and evaluating potential solutions.\nWho you are:\nYou're open: We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views.
