We're committed to fostering a culture of creativity, belonging and continuous learning, attracting and developing the brightest talent, and providing exciting career opportunities that help our people grow. \n\nFor more information, visit WPP.com.\n\nWhy we're hiring:\nWPP is on a global transformation journey, and this is an opportunity to join support the treasury activities for operating companies in India.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nThe role report to Regional Treasurer and responsible for overseeing India’s cashflow & liquidity, investments, banking relationships, foreign exchange risk to support business growth and financial stability.\nThis role will report into the Asia Pacific Treasurer, key responsibilities are:\nLiquidity & Working Capital Management\nMonitor daily cash position and manage liquidity planning to ensure adequate funding for business operations in India.\nPrepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly) to minimize idle excess cash.\nOptimize working capital and manage the deployment of surplus funds in deposit placement for yield enhancement.\nLead and oversee the service fee settlement and dividend repatriation in timely manner.\nBanking & Financial Institution Management\nServe as the primary point of contact for banking partners in India; negotiate terms, pricing, and facilities. Bringing their advice and expertise to bear as required for risk management or other purposes.\nManage banking documentation, KYC, and regulatory compliance.\nForex Exposure & Investment Management \nIdentify, manage, and report on foreign exchange (FX) exposure across the networks.\nDesign and implement foreign currency hedging strategies for business operation as to mitigate their financial risks.\nAdvise the business on FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) compliance and requirements.\nBusiness partnering\nBuild deep relationship with CFOs and FDs across diverse networks and influence decisions on working capital and foreign exchange management.\nSupport the communications of treasury policy and internal control standards, ensure it is applied in compliance with the related local treasury procedures.\nMonitor and assess the impact of local market conditions such as regulation, currency controls, financial products and advise on this internally.\nSupport Treasury GBS team as required on joint or Treasury led developments.\nIntercompany Funding & Debt Management\nSupport fund-raising activities through various instruments like bank loans, intercompany financing.\nManage the loan drawdown and repayment of operating entities in India, including refinancing and ensuring timely servicing of debt obligations.\nCandidate Qualifications & Experience\nEducational Background:\nExperience graduate / postgraduate \nQualified Chartered Accountant (CA), A CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) qualification is a strong plus.\nProfessional Experience:\n11-15 years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or a similar finance role.\nProven experience with Treasury Management Systems (e.g., IT/2) is highly desirable.\nDeep understanding of RBI regulations, FEMA, and local banking practices.\nStrong experience in managing banking relationships and forex hedging instruments.\nKnowledge of derivatives and hedging currency exposures directly or indirectly.\nKnowledge of accounting in relation to FX gains and losses and where they arise.\nKey Skills\nStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nProfound understanding and operation experiences in cash management and FX risk management products\nExperience operating in a multi-currency, multi-entity global organization is a plus.\nExperience in Power BI a plus\nWe believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection.
