We're committed to fostering a culture of creativity, belonging and continuous learning, attracting and developing the brightest talent, and providing exciting career opportunities that help our people grow. \n\nFor more information, visit WPP.com.\n\nWhy we're hiring:\nTo facilitate the statutory audit process by providing necessary financial data, documentation, and support to the appointed external auditors, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and timely audit for compliance with legal requirements. \nWhat you'll be doing:\nData & Documentation Support:\nPrepare and provide timely access to financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow), ledgers, bank statements, vendor/customer records, and supporting vouchers.\nGenerate specific schedules (e.g., fixed assets, debtors, creditors, provisions, expenses etc.) as requested by auditors.\nAudit Process Facilitation:\nAct as the primary point of contact for the external audit team.\nAddress audit queries promptly and accurately, providing explanations and evidence.\nCompliance & Verification:\nAssist in verifying compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and legal regulations (e.g., Companies Act).\nSupport assessment of internal controls and risk areas identified by auditors.\nReporting & Finalization:\nHelp in preparing management representation letters and other required attestations.\nReview draft audit reports, management letters, and financial statements for accuracy before finalization.\nCoordination:\nLiaise with other internal departments (e.g., R2R, Billing, Collection, Accounts payable, Payments, HR, Payroll etc.) to gather necessary information for the audit. \nWhat you'll need:\n Chartered Accountant with 2 - 4 years of post-qualification experience.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/Ind AS).\nExcellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.\nHigh attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during audit periods. \nWho you are:\nYou're open: we are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views.
