From conception to production, they will be a steward of storytelling for our brand partners, bringing ideas to life through a myriad of formats and styles.\nThe ideal candidate understands the fundamentals of writing and strives to engage audiences with every word, all while collaborating with teammates across functions and departments, working most closely with an Associate Creative Director, Art partner. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to making innovative work that stirs shit up, across the advertising industry and culture at large. The ideal candidate should have experience with integrated campaign work and bring holistic thinking to executions.\nMost importantly, we are looking for someone who is ready to become a Spoon - to give a damn, try anything, and enjoy the people they are working with. This team is based in the New York office and works in a hybrid fashion with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with ACD, Art partner to ideate and create work that delivers on client goals and aligns with Giant Spoon’s mission to expand how audiences experience brands, while also having a nuanced understanding of client feedback and a client’s place in the market.\nTranslate creative strategy into creative ideas, exhibiting an expert understanding of the client's brand story, the cultural environment, the marketing approach and the competition.\nWork hand in hand with an Art partner to develop internal and external presentations of creative ideas and thought processes\nEffectively share and present work internally to creative leadership and present a strong point of view; confidently pushing the envelope or proposing alternative approaches\nCollaborate with Strategy, Design and Production Teams to maintain the integrity of the creative through the concept and campaign development process\nLead relationships with outside vendors and collaborators (e.g. directors, stylists, models, editors, etc.) \nServe as a creative lead on-set for shoots, managing execution and working directly with outside vendors in real time to ensure quality of the final product\nManage the day-to-day work of junior team members and may have direct reports on their own projects or across other projects to manage and mentor\nPresent work to clients passionately, articulately, and in a way that reflects an understanding of client goals/desires while continuously building a deeper relationship with clients.Communicate concepts creatively when traditional modes of representation aren’t appropriate for the situation at hand (i.e. sketches, collages, requesting a client workshop etc.)\n\nCommunicate any flags proactively in deliverables or work to the CD or creative lead on a project\nChampion the brand with consistency across visual design assets and help develop a unified design brand language \nCraft memorable, storytelling visuals to support new business pitch opportunities \nFlex outside of the primary skill set including ability to write up idea concepts as needed\nRequirements\n6+ years of experience as a conceptual writer in an advertising agency\nMastery of concepting, campaign architecture, and short form writing \nExperience with and passion for conceptual thinking, campaign development, and cross-channel creative execution\nDigitally connected, passionate about technology and innovation with an insatiable curiosity for how it applies to our industry\nConcept and create beautifully designed content from briefs, insights and strategy\nExperience working with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets) a plus\nWorks efficiently in a fast-paced environment\nPossesses keen problem-solving skills and overcomes challenges successfully\nExhibits openness for learning and growth\nTakes personal initiative and demonstrates independent thinking\nEffective written, verbal, and visual communicator\nAbility to craft internal / external presentations and present in an engaging way\nAbility to effectively prioritize tasks and be resourceful, flexible and quick to adapt in a fast-paced environment.\nAcute attention to detail\nAbility to collaborate creatively across departments and offices\nAbility to foster trusting relationships with teammates and clients\nOpen to receiving and providing thoughtful feedback\nAbility to effectively manage up and down\nDemonstrates proactivity on projects\nAbility to coach and mentor a growing team\nAbility to foster a collaborative and caring team environment\nParticipate in day-to-day communication with key team members and partners to identify the right times to execute and the right times to delegate\nRecommend new formats and tools to leverage in client projectsExperience with digital and/or social content production\n\nWhat We Offer\nThe anticipated annual salary range for this position is $130,000 -$145,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location.
