The role supports implementation of Safety, Health & Environment systems and ensures effective contractor control.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMaintain and review Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures, COSHH, and Manual Handling (MAC) \nReview/approve contractor RAMS; verify competency, certifications, and licences \nCoordinate contractors, ensuring compliance with site rules, CDM Regulations, and legislation \nDeliver site inductions for contractors/visitors and ensure safety understanding \nManage Permits to Work (PTW), including high-risk tasks \nConduct regular audits, inspections, and behavioural observations \nPromote a positive safety culture and challenge unsafe behaviours \nInvestigate incidents/near misses, identify root causes, and implement actions \nEnsure compliance with company procedures, ISO 14001/45001, and UK H&S laws \nMonitor performance and support reporting and continuous improvement \nAbout You\nSkills and Knowledge:\nIOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) - essential \nNEBOSH General Certificate - desirable \nKnowledge of ISO standards (e.g. 45001) - desirable \nUnderstanding of contractor management and CDM Regulations \nManufacturing/machinery knowledge - advantageous \nStrong communication and influencing skills \nGood organisation; able to manage priorities and deadlines \nAnalytical problem-solving and investigation skills \nAble to work independently and in teams \nExperience in diverse environments \nProficient in Microsoft Office \nAbout The Company\nAt Wren we’re passionate about all things kitchens, and now bedrooms too!
