The successful candidate will work five days per week, Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 15:30.\nThe purpose of the role is to carry out laboratory testing of materials, components and finished products, supporting quality assurance and product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all testing is completed accurately, safely and on time, as well as compiling laboratory reports.\nMain responsibilities:\nPrepare samples and perform tests using approved procedures.\nRecord and report results and support investigations and trials.\nCheck and maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records and consumables.\nKeep the laboratory clean, organised and safe.\nMaintain test records and support audits and customer visits.\nFollow safety and COSHH requirements and suggest improvements to testing.\nAssist with trials, validation activities and the introduction of new test methods.\nSupport customer visits with basic explanation of lab procedures.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing accurate records and evidence.\nAbout You\nEssential skills:\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures consistently.\nGood numeracy and the ability to interpret specifications and test results.\nAccurate record-keeping and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.\nGood organisational skills and the ability to prioritise testing workloads.\nClear communication skills and the confidence to raise concerns.\nA responsible approach to laboratory safety and housekeeping.\nDesired Skills & Knowledge:\nPrevious laboratory experience within manufacturing or a quality-controlled environment.\nExperience using laboratory test equipment and maintaining calibration records.\nUnderstanding of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.\nExperience supporting root-cause investigations and corrective actions.\nAbout The Company\nAt Wren we’re passionate about all things kitchens, and now bedrooms too!
