The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business and H&S excellence over the last two years.\nThe Transport Supervisor will work full time, with varied hours and days in peak season. You will be given notice prior to peak periods.\nMain Responsibilities:\nAssist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function\nEnsure that the trunking operation runs as smoothly as possible throughout the evening \nEnsure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements \nAssist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required\nAssist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries \nEnsure drivers are managed correctly to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using the company recognised processes to manage full compliance\nThoroughly investigate any incidents, accidents and near misses when required \nAssist the training team with the addition of new drivers to the transport department\nSupport the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers\nWhat Wren Offer:\n25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays\nQuarterly Bonus Scheme\nStaff discount on kitchens including family / friend discount\nDriver CPC Training provided\n5 Yearly Medical provided and full expensed\nFull uniform and PPE provided\nProgression and Development opportunities\nAbout You\nEssential Skills and Knowledge:\nExperienced working within a transport office for multi drop deliveries\nMinimum of 1 years team leader / management experience within a transport or logistics office\nStrong IT skills - in particular Excel\nStrong knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations\nStrong knowledge of driver compliance\nIOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate\nLGV Licence and CPC Card\nApplications are subject to a basic DBS check, convictions considered on an individual basis.\nIn addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS)Responsibilities document.\nAbout The Company\nAt Wren we’re passionate about all things kitchens, and now bedrooms too!
