Our work seeks to shape a future where cities work better for everyone.\nJob Highlight\nThe selected candidate will support communications and outreach for WRI India’s transport work. The role will involve helping translate research, field insights and programme updates into clear, engaging and accessible communication products for different audiences.\nThe candidate will support content development, social media, event outreach, design collaterals and documentation across transport themes such as public transport, electric mobility, freight, road safety, active mobility, last-mile connectivity and inclusive urban mobility. The role is suited for someone with strong writing skills, an interest in sustainable transport, strong interest in creating compelling visual designs and the ability to support both digital and offline communication outputs.\nShortlisted candidates will be required to complete a test and participate in an interview as part of the selection process.\nWhat you will do:\nCommunications and Content Support\nSupport the development of communication products for WRI India’s transport projects, including social media posts, event blurbs, invite notes, blogs and short updates.\nHelp translate technical research and programme insights into simple, audience-friendly content.\nSupport the preparation of content calendars, social media plans and dissemination trackers.\nCoordinate with programme and communications teams to gather inputs, data points, photographs, quotes and other relevant material.\nAssist in ensuring that communication outputs are aligned with WRI India’s editorial and branding guidelines.\n\nDigital Media, Storytelling and Design Support\nSupport the creation of engaging digital content such as social media creatives, carousels, infographics, posters, event collaterals and simple visual explainers.\nWork with internal teams and designers to help develop communication materials for campaigns, events, workshops and knowledge products.\nAssist in converting transport data, field stories and research findings into clear visual formats.\nSupport basic design work using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms.\nEvent Outreach and Coordination\nSupport communication planning for key convenings, launches, webinars and workshops.\nAssist with pre-event, live-event and post-event communication outputs.\nCoordinate with teams to collect event details, speaker information, photographs and key messages.\nHelp prepare social media posts, invite mailers, event summaries and thank-you notes.\nSupport basic logistics related to communications, documentation and outreach.\nWhat you will need:\n0-1 years of relevant experience in communications, content development, design, development sector, urban policy, climate, transport or public interest work.\nStrong writing and editing skills in English.\nBasic understanding of sustainable transport, urban mobility, climate action or development issues is desirable.\nKnowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop or similar platforms.\nAbility to support the development of social media content, posters, infographics, presentations and event collaterals.\nGood coordination skills and ability to work with multiple teams.\nAttention to detail and ability to manage timelines.\nWillingness to learn, take feedback and support fast-paced communication requirements.\nKnowledge of Hindi or another Indian language such as Kannada or Marathi will be an added advantage.\nStipend: INR 25000 per month\nLocation: New Delhi/ Bangalore/Mumbai\nDuration: 3 Months\nStart date: As soon as possible\nList of Documents to be attached:\nCover Letter\n\nResume\n\nOnly shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview purpose.\nHow to Apply\nQualified applicants should apply online at www.wri.org/careers.
