This individual will primarily support street design, neighbourhood planning & road safety projects. The individual will work closely with their supervisor.\nWhat you will do:\nUndertaking site-visits for recce surveys, documentation, collecting primary and secondary data in the form of mobility patterns, volume counts, road safety inspections, crash profile, etc.\nSupporting safer street interventions in the city through data analysis, design development and preparation of project proposals, reports and presentations related to projects.\nPreparation of conceptual design drawings, detailed technical drawings, illustrations, and other project-related content.\nPerform cost estimates, quantity estimates and material specifications with little supervision.\nEngagement with stakeholders at various stages and contributing to the contextual design approach.\nWhat you will need:\nPursuing or completed Post-graduation in Urban Design or Planning from a recognized university/institution.\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, basic 3D modelling, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS is required.\nFamiliarity and past experience with street and junction design, NMT planning, road safety.\nFamiliarity and past experience with data collection, research & analysis will be an advantage.\nStrong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.\nMust have strong spatial and land-use comprehension as well as excellent visual communication abilities.\nExcellent academic performance and strong analytical capability.\nAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly both orally and in writing, with excellent demonstrated skills in English.\nDemonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced working environment and to juggle multiple assignments with little supervision.\nHighly organized and detail-oriented; experience managing complex processes or projects.\nStipend: INR 25,000/month\nLocation: Mumbai\nHow to Apply : \n\nOnly Qualified applicants should apply by sending across the following:\n(a)Curriculum vitae (CV) of no more than 2 A4 sized pages detailing academic and relevant experience.\n(b)A design portfolio covering relevant urban design and transport works (academic or professional), and key architectural/undergraduate projects.\n(c)A sample of research-based writing that demonstrates analytical capabilities.
