Know more: wri-india.org\nAbout the Internship\nWe are looking for a Program Intern with strong research and writing skills to support the Climate Resilience Practice team with desk-based and occasional field research across ongoing climate resilience and adaptation programs in Tamil Nadu. The internship offers hands-on experience in contributing to a strong strategic communications pipeline and develop actionable research for climate resilience action plans at different scales. The intern will provide support in program communications, developing pipelines from concept to outreach, and engage in in-depth interactions with research teams within WRI India. The intern will contribute to research, data collection, documentation, outreach, and coordination efforts that support’s WRI India’s research, knowledge management, and advisory activities.\nIn case the internship period involves developing an internship report in any form to be submitted to the parent institution, the candidates should have a research topic aligned with the primary area of engagement mentioned above.\nWhat you will do:\nSupport in background literature review and desk research and secondary data collection\nAssist in collecting and documenting field-level qualitative and quantitative data for agriculture and allied sectors, water resources, livelihoods, natural resources, and rural development, infrastructure, etc.\nSupport literature review, secondary data collection, and policy research related to climate resilience and rural development.\nCompile, clean, and organize field data for analysis including data cleaning, visualization and development of collaterals as required.\nContribute to report writing, documentation, briefs, presentation materials for internal and external dissemination.\nCoordinate with project team members to ensure timely and high-quality completion of activities.\nAssist in organizing and documenting communications strategies and outputs for strengthening outreach efforts and research outputs.\nHelping develop and post social media posts and strategise them to support the team on a need basis \nWhat you will need:\nPursuing or recently completed a Undergraduate/Master's degree.Good understanding of the climate change adaptation and resilience building ecosystem in India.\nStrong written and communication skills in English.\nWillingness to travel occasionally to rural areas.\nBasic skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and MS Teams. \nFamiliarity with digital data collection tools will be an added advantage.\nLocation: Bangalore, Karnataka\nStipend: INR 25,000 per month\nDuration: 3 months\nList of Documents to be attached:\nCover letter explaining how your academic background and skills meet the requirements of this position.\nCurriculum vitae \nWriting samples\nReports\nOnly shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview purpose.\nHow to Apply\nQualified applicants should apply online at www.wri.org/careers.
