As our Temporary Facilities Maintenance Support, you’ll assist with the day-to-day operations of our facilities, with a primary focus on building maintenance, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), and Mail Room operations. You’ll also support the Facilities team with branch and campus security needs while helping maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and secure environment for our staff and members.\nIn this role, you’ll install, assemble, disassemble, reconfigure, and inventory commercial furniture and ergonomic equipment. You’ll also assist staff with setting up meeting rooms, including tables, chairs, equipment, and other materials. Additionally, you’ll respond to requests from management and staff, help ensure work is completed in a timely manner, assist with special projects, and inspect completed work for compliance with specifications, applicable building and safety codes, regulatory requirements, and credit union standards. Ready to learn more?\nYour day may include:\nWorking knowledge of business computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel\nKnowledge of commercial construction techniques and terminology, building finish specifications, cost estimating, project scheduling, space planning, and OSHA requirements\nAbility to accurately read a tape measure and safely operate small power tools and manual hand tools\nDemonstrating ability to exercise independent judgment and sound decision-making, anticipating customer needs, and providing exceptional service\nAble to adapt quickly to changing priorities, taking initiative, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment\nUnderstanding of facility related functions, including but not limited to, furniture systems, building systems\nEstablishing facility procedures, managing vendors and scheduling facility coverage\nFlexibility to work overtime on short notice, adjust work schedules as needed, and travel throughout Washington State\nAbility to respond to and help coordinate the Facilities Department’s response to facility emergencies\nWhat you bring to the team:\nMinimum of one year of experience in construction, property management, or a related field\nAbility to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift up to 70 pounds and possess the manual dexterity necessary to perform the essential functions of the position\nMust possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record\nDemonstrated knowledge of construction codes, health and safety regulations, and purchasing practices\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct training and communicate professionally with employees at all levels, members, vendors, and the public\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and handle sensitive information with discretion\nWell-developed interpersonal, written and telephone communication skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels of the organization while maintaining high standards of quality and service\nBonus Points if you have:\nExperience performing general repair work or working in a skilled trade, such as carpentry\nOne or more of the following certifications: COEE (Humanscale) or COEE (Occupro)\nAbility to calculate figures and percentages\nAbility to collect and analyze data\nAbility to use formulas, perform calculations and link items in Excel\nCompetitive base pay: $21.50 - $32.25 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package\n· The target starting pay for this position is $21.50 - $26.87 per hour, typically within the first half of the range.
