high street shops, holidays & cinema\nWellbeing hub\nAccess to employee assistance programme\nCycle to work scheme\nThe Stores person will support the centre manager in the provision of food, materials and equipment and all relevant supports for all classroom activities e.g ( training kitchen, restaurant and bar).\nThese activities follow the university calendar and are not functional during academic holidays.\nAs this is a Culinary training environment the standards are to be maintained to an impeccable level.\nThe role will also involve preparing for and supporting all student work in the facility, supporting staff activity and teaching activity related to the operation, and so will require a broad knowledge of culinary/food operations.\nThe role will involve ensuring that all relevant quality standards are met and in particular HACCP and food safety regulations.\nFurther, ensure that all Health & Safety standards and requirements are maintained as appropriate.\nJob Description\nDuties & Responsibilities\nAct as a key point of contact between the location and relevant departments.\nSupervise and support catering team as required.\nAssist with the induction, training and ongoing development of team members.\nImplement and maintain company safety management systems and ensure team members understand and comply with company Health & Safety procedures.\nCarry out staff risk assessments, monthly audits and monthly Health & Safety staff meetings.\nDeliver Training Tuesdays and Star Safety job talks.\nReport accidents, safety alerts and near misses through the company portal.\nAccurately prepare and administer staff payroll, including monitoring hours worked, attendance and relevant payroll information.\nPrepare for company internal audits and the annual Nativis Audit, ensuring all required documentation, records and operational standards are maintained and readily available.\nProvide relevant backup information and supporting documentation for the monthly invoice.\nThe preparation of materials and equipment for practical classes, demonstrations, assessments, practical examinations.\nAccepting delivery of materials and equipment, their transportation and storing as required, and the replenishing of stocks and consumables as appropriate.\nRe-storing of all equipment and unused materials to designated areas, reporting all items mislaid or damaged, or in need of replacement.\nAssist with the preparation of a Workshop or Laboratory for a class or demonstration.\nEnsure that stores, kitchens and associated areas are kept clean, tidy and in excellent order.\n Qualifications\nEssential Competences and Experience:\nFood handling experience\nHACCP and Food Safety knowledge\nAbility to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.\nGood organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.\nGood knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.\nEvidence of personal development through further skills development\nIT Skills\n For almost 20 years, for every client, in every location (whether that’s an office, stadium, cathedral or university), we have created beautiful spaces, exciting menus and friendly teams, so that each and every customer can have the hospitality experience they deserve.\nWe need the brightest and the best to join us to make this all possible.
