Tasks include responsibility for the overall performance of the assigned project(s) including financial, technical, client satisfaction, quality, safety, and schedule. And we need your help!\nYour Impact\nParticipate in the development of power delivery project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.\nParticipate in developing the work breakdown structure (WBS) tasks and estimated costs.\nUpdate documentation within designated systems and processes, including: Risk (REF/RMP), Project Management Plan (PMP), Project Quality Plan (QP), Project Safety (PSP), and Communications Plan as necessary.\nAssist with facilitating project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders.\nWork collaboratively with Project Accounting to assist with monitoring and tracking project metrics, estimated time-to-completion, cash management, and budgeted margin for a project or an assigned portfolio of projects.\nAssist with budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management and control.\nCoordinate with area/technical managers to address project resource and subcontractor requirements in a timely manner.\nAssist with overseeing subcontractors, and coordinating supplier submissions, invoices, and payments.\nParticipate in problem project reviews, providing input about root cause issues and potential solutions to leadership and other stakeholders.\nProvide regular project reporting and updates to clients, technical area, and business unit managers.\nComplete formal project closeout activities, along with conducting and documenting a lessons-learned meeting with key project staff.\nDevelop sufficient financial acumen to understand project financial data.\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related major, or equivalent experience in a technical or engineering firm.\n5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience within the power delivery/utility industry.\nUnderstanding of project delivery process within the power delivery industry and defined background and experience in project management.\nCompetent analytical and organizational skills, with business acumen to bridge the business and project management.\nCapable critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make assessments and calculations involving the application of project management principles, with a sound understanding of intent, impact, and optimal outcomes.\nHighly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally.\nCapable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and adjusting readily to the changing prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.\nWorks independently with minimal oversight and strict adherence to QA/QC.\nWell-developed with technical writing, office automation, relevant software, MS Office suite products (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint), technology, spreadsheets, and PM tools.\nEffective at coordinating resources, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and others to complete tasks competently and efficiently.\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\nAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.\nOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Master’s Degree in Engineering.\nWorking towards project management certification (e.g., PMP)\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
