The team delivers highway consultancy services to support our clients through all stages of the project life-cycle from feasibility and concept design through to planning, detailed design, and construction.\nWSP are recruiting to add to the team working on the Performance Audit Group (PAG). PAG is an independent private sector organisation, employed by Transport Scotland, which monitors the performance of the Operating Companies. PAG audits, monitors and reports on the financial, technical and performance aspects of the Operating Companies to a plan agreed with Transport Scotland.\nWe are seeking someone to fulfil a PAG Trainee Site Technician vacancy, a role which is to provide assistance for inspections, auditing, and monitoring in accordance with programmes agreed with the Employer.\nKey tasks include:\nProvide assistance for inspection, auditing and monitoring asset inventory collection and updating for a roads network.\nProvide assistance for inspection, auditing and monitoring to assess the effectiveness and contractual compliance of Suppliers in respect of inspection regimes set out in Employer’s contracts.\nProvide assistance for the issue notices based on site inspections and observations in accordance with Supplier contracts\nProvide assistance for the verification that Suppliers records are a true and accurate and confirm that works have been carried out in accordance with Specifications and other contract documentation\nProvide assistance for the verification that quantities and values claimed by Suppliers are a true record.\nContribute to reports required by the Employer.\nTo be conversant with and understand the relevant parts of Supplier contracts\nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\nHNC/HND and Limited Experience\n\nOR\nBasic Experience with Structured Training.\n\nSpecified level of experience of inspecting, monitoring and reporting on Supplier compliance with contracts, specifications and good practice associated with the construction, management and maintenance of roads and structures.\n\nBasic knowledge of maintenance and construction works associated with the construction, management and maintenance of a roads network\n\nDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
