As an Assistant Technician, Construction, you'll support construction inspection, materials testing, and field activities while gaining hands-on experience alongside industry-leading professionals. This is an opportunity to build your technical expertise, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop a rewarding career in the construction and engineering industry.\nYour Impact\nSupport field technicians and project teams with construction inspection and materials testing activities.\nConduct sampling and testing of construction materials in accordance with established standards and procedures.\nAssist with documenting field observations, measurements, and test results to support project quality requirements.\nMonitor construction activities to help ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.\nCoordinate equipment, materials, and site logistics to support efficient project delivery.\nContribute to accurate reporting and data collection that informs project decisions and client outcomes.\nBuild strong working relationships with contractors, colleagues, and clients while representing WSP professionally.\nContinuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills through on-the-job learning and mentorship.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nDiploma or technical education in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.\nPrevious experience in construction, materials testing, field inspection, or related technical environments is considered an asset.\nFamiliarity with concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregate testing procedures is an asset.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather, construction, and field conditions.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to complete accurate documentation.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nValid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
