Make the most of our global reach to discover new challenges and chances to work with diverse, talented individuals who will help you expand your horizons.\nTo find out more about our Geotechnical business, click on the following link and discover what awaits you at WSP: https://www.wsp.com/en-GB/services/geotechnical-and-ground-engineering\nWe are looking for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our existing team in Brighton.\nA little more about your role…\nProviding technical and operational leadership across a portfolio of complex geotechnical and multidisciplinary projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and commercially successful outcomes.\nActing as a senior technical authority, leading the development and assurance of ground models, geotechnical assessments, design solutions and technical deliverables.\nDirecting and reviewing advanced geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, slopes, tunnels and other geotechnical assets.\nTaking responsibility for project and portfolio performance, including programme, budget, resource planning, quality management, risk and contractual requirements.\nDeveloping trusted relationships with key clients, understanding their strategic priorities and identifying opportunities to expand our services and secure future work.\nLeading bids and proposals, including the development of technical approaches, delivery strategies, resource plans and commercially competitive fee submissions.\nProviding leadership, line management, coaching and technical mentorship to engineers and engineering geologists, supporting succession planning and professional development.\nWorking closely with senior leaders to support team strategy, workload planning, recruitment, utilisation and the continued growth of the geotechnical business.\nBuilding effective relationships across disciplines, sectors and regions to develop integrated solutions and access the full capability of WSP for our clients.\nChampioning technical excellence, innovation, sustainability, health and safety, and the effective use of digital and 3D data throughout project delivery.\nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\nA substantial technical background in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and ground risk management, with experience leading the delivery of complex projects.\nStrong technical expertise in geotechnical interpretation, analysis and design, together with the ability to review, challenge and approve high-quality technical outputs.\nA proven track record of leading projects and multidisciplinary teams while managing scope, programme, resources, commercial performance, quality and risk.\nStrong commercial awareness, with experience preparing proposals, managing project finances and contributing to the successful development of new business.\nExcellent client and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to act as a senior representative of WSP and develop long-term professional relationships.\nExperience providing technical and managerial leadership to teams, including mentoring, coaching, workload management and supporting the development of colleagues.\nThe ability to identify market opportunities, support strategic planning and contribute to the growth and direction of a successful geotechnical business.\nA collaborative and influential leadership style, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines, locations and sectors.\nChartered status with a relevant professional institution, such as the ICE or Geological Society, or an equivalent recognised professional qualification.\nDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
