With major long-term programs underway across Australia and strong growth in Queensland, we’re looking for an Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Water Utilities team in Brisbane.\nThis is your opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical water infrastructure projects that support sustainable growth and resilient communities-from Brisbane to regional Queensland and beyond.\nAbout the Role\nIn this role, you’ll lead or support the structural engineering scope across multidisciplinary water projects of varying size and complexity. You’ll bring your technical expertise to the planning, design, and delivery of innovative, practical, and durable structural solutions.\nYou will:\nLead and deliver structural design for water-retaining structures, pump stations, sewer networks, pipelines, and associated assets\nProvide technical input into proposals and support business development activities\nDrive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM-based coordination\nUndertake condition assessments, design reviews, and verifications\nApply Safety-in-Design principles and ensure compliance with OHS&E and quality standards\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to building team capability\nAbout You\nBachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering\n10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sector\nRPV / RPEQ registration; Chartered status\nStrong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water-retaining structures aligned to Australian Standards\nConfident managing projects from concept through detailed design\nExcellent communicator with strong client engagement and technical reporting skills\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and quality\nWhy WSP?\nAt WSP, you’ll join a team that supports your growth and values your ideas.
