As an Aviation Project Manager, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, advise airport clients, and contribute to the continued growth of our regional aviation practice.\nThis individual will lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex airport infrastructure projects for commercial airports, general aviation facilities, and aviation-related transportation programs in Northern California.\nThe successful candidate will have strong project management experience leading complex infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams. Aviation experience is preferred; however, candidates with relevant transportation or infrastructure experience and demonstrated transferable skills will also be considered.\nYour Impact\nManage aviation projects from planning through design, permitting, construction, and closeout.\nLead multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineers, planners, architects, environmental specialists, and construction professionals.\nDevelop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk management strategies.\nMonitor project performance and provide regular updates regarding schedule, budget, quality, risk, and delivery milestones.\nCoordinate with airport authorities, airlines, FAA representatives, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.\nFacilitate project meetings and manage communications with clients and internal teams.\nManage project financial performance, resource utilization, and contract administration.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary design activities and review technical deliverables and quality-control documentation.\nIdentify and manage project risks and facilitate resolution of technical, operational, and stakeholder issues.\nSupport business development efforts, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.\nMentor junior staff and contribute to the continued growth of WSP's aviation practice.\nParticipate in industry organizations, conferences, and networking activities as appropriate.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Aviation Management, or a related field.\n10+ years of professional experience managing complex infrastructure, transportation, aviation, airport development, or capital improvement projects.\nDemonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects through design and construction.\nDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.\nExperience managing project scopes, budgets, schedules, contracts, risks, and client relationships.\nStrong understanding of project controls, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.\nAbility to understand and manage technical requirements across multiple disciplines.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nProven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.\nAbility to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nAviation or airport infrastructure project experience.\nKnowledge of FAA regulations, airport design standards, and aviation project delivery processes.\nExperience supporting Airport Capital Improvement Programs (ACIP).\nExperience with airfield, terminal, landside, roadway, utility, or other complex transportation infrastructure.\nExperience working at major hub, medium-hub, or large commercial service airports.\nFamiliarity with FAA grant processes and airport funding programs.\nActive participation in SWAAAE, AAAE, ACC, ASCE, SAME or other relevant industry organizations.\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
