We are WSP.\nThe Opportunity\nBuild the Future with Us\nThe BIM Coordinator will take part in industrial and mining project operations for the Resources sector and support the Project BIM Manager’s strategy by managing day-to-day BIM-VDC implementation across projects and coordinating model development with discipline design leads. Working closely with design teams, the BIM Coordinator helps resolve interdisciplinary issues, promotes adherence to project BIM requirements, and serves as the primary point of contact for technical BIM support and coordination activities.\nThis position can be located out of any of our WSP Offices in Ontario.\nYour Impact\nPlan and coordinate\nDevelop the 3D model coordination strategy with the BIM Manager.\n\nAlign schedules, deliverables, quality processes, and model standards with project leads.\n\nConfigure the CDE and maintain project BIM documentation.\n\nCoordinate and deliver\nOnboard teams and manage CDE workflows, access, and processes.\n\nCoordinate multidisciplinary models, georeferencing, and survey data.\n\nLead clash detection, issue tracking, and coordination reporting.\n\nEnsure models meet BIM standards and support 4D/5D integration.\n\nProvide technical BIM and software support to project teams.\n\nSupport project closeout\nComplete final coordination and resolve outstanding clashes.\n\nSupport final deliverables, handover, data submission, and archiving.\n\nImprove and standardize\nIdentify reusable content, automation, and process improvements.\n\nPartner with Digital Solutions and the BIM Practice Manager to evaluate emerging tools and technologies.\n\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nA university degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and training;\n\n5-10 years of experience in engineering design, technical drafting, and 3D coordination, ideally within the heavy industrial or mining sector;\n\nExperience with industrial electrical, piping and process, instrumentation and controls, mechanical assembly, or building mechanical systems;\n\nThe ability to explain information management workflows clearly;\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.French an asset;\n\nExperience with the following software:\nCore tools: Autodesk BIM 360/ACC Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Plant 3D;\n\nAdditional assets: Inventor, ReCap, Civil 3D, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate/Power Apps, and ProjectWise.\n\nConsulting engineering or document management experience is an asset;\n\nA proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently;\n\nStrong attention to detail and adaptability as project needs evolve;\n\nA collaborative approach to providing clear guidance, support, and training.\n\nWhy choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
