The role will require good knowledge and understanding of multi-disciplinary project delivery to join our team of technical experts in the UK. We are open to this role being based in any WSP UK office.\nThere will be opportunities for international travel to work with overseas Clients and WSP aviation teams worldwide, as well as opportunities to develop your own CPD with full support from the team management and to mentor more junior members of the team.\nResponsibilities include:\nSupporting the preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications related to the delivery of airfield engineering projects at airports in both the UK and overseas.\nHelping to identify and manage design risks, issues and Request for Information (RFIs).\nEnsuring all deliverables and milestones are achieved to cost/quality/time targets.\nChampioning excellent health and safety practice, including safety in design, site visit safety and compliance with CDM regulations.\nSupport Project Managers by undertaking project progress monitoring and contributing to the development of appropriate project controls, including change management, information management and document control. \nResponding to client directions in a professional and customer focused manner and to develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers and others who are influential in providing future business.\nWe’d love to hear from you if you have:\nA University degree relevant to civil engineering, construction, design or related discipline\nExperience of delivering civil engineering projects. It is not a requirement for this to include aviation specific work and can instead include experience on similar projects such as highways, urban realm, maritime ports etc…\nExperience and knowledge of international airfield design standards such as ICAO, CAA, EASA and FAA is preferable but not required.\nKnowledge and experience of using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and any other relevant other engineering design software packages.\nExcellent written, verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences\nEnjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues and be able to demonstrate a time when you’ve managed to do this successfully to solve complex problems.\nYou’ll have confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively and be able to demonstrate a time when you’ve successfully managed to do this.\nImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.\nWork on landmark projects around the world and embrace opportunities to make an even bigger impact in the communities you care about.
