As a Co-op Student, Electrical Engineering, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that shape communities, improve infrastructure, and support sustainable development. From design support to field investigations and project delivery, you'll gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful work that helps create a better future.\nYour Impact\nSupport electrical engineering teams in the design and delivery of infrastructure, transportation, buildings, industrial, and energy projects.\nAssist with preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.\nContribute to electrical system design activities, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and related building or infrastructure systems.\nParticipate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gather data and support project execution.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions.\nApply engineering principles and industry standards to solve technical challenges and support project objectives.\nHelp maintain project schedules, document control processes, and quality assurance requirements.\nLearn from experienced professionals while building technical, project management, and consulting skills.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nCurrently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program and returning to studies following the work term.\nStrong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis, power systems, or building electrical systems.\nFamiliarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar tools is considered an asset.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in team environments.\nDemonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn in a consulting engineering setting.\nAbility and willingness to travel to project sites as required and comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
