People who get it.\nWe are the home of ambitious, passionate, and innovative world shapers.\nWith an unmatched breadth and depth of engineering, advisory and science-based expertise, our global minds unite to power local solutions.\nWe are pathfinders and impact makers.\nWe are Visioneers.\nWe are WSP.\nThe Opportunity\nBuild the Future With Us\nJoin our Transportation Systems team in Ontario as a Commercial Manager, supporting the commercial and contractual management of transportation and infrastructure projects.\nReporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will work across projects and corporate initiatives, bringing commercial insight to contracts, bids, negotiations, risk management, project financial health, change management, claims, and project close-out.\nThis is an opportunity to work closely with clients, subconsultants, project teams and senior leadership while helping strengthen commercial processes and execution across our Transportation & Infrastructure business.\nYour Impact\nLead and manage commercial agreements, including teaming agreements, Memoranda of Understanding, Joint Venture Agreements, Internal Consulting Agreements, Consultant Agreements, and subconsultant/subcontractor agreements.\n\nGuide opportunity and bidding decisions by supporting bid/no-bid evaluations, preliminary risk reviews, delegation-of-authority requirements, commercial strategy, partner screening, and internal approvals.\n\nSupport and lead negotiations with clients, partners and subcontractors, including reviewing and qualifying commercial terms and conditions in conjunction with in-house legal counsel.\n\nStrengthen project commercial performance by supporting as-sold budgets and work breakdown structures and working with Project Controls and Finance to oversee schedule, cost, billing, and subconsultant receivables.\n\nDrive effective change management by identifying scope deviations, developing change narratives and justification, assessing schedule and cost impacts, preparing change packages, and maintaining change logs.\n\nSupport the resolution of disputes and claims.\n\nSupport corporate governance and influence risk mitigation.\n\nAdvance continuous improvement and project close-out, including commercial analysis, lessons learned, vendor evaluations, project records, and required client waivers and releases.\n\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\n10+ years of commercial or contract management experience in a similar role.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French would be an asset.\n\nPost-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree in project management, construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, finance, business, or a related discipline preferred.\n\nKnowledge of construction contracts and Canadian construction law, with contract administration and claims-management experience considered an asset.\n\nExperience with consulting engineering environments, and/or both Owner and Contractor roles considered assets.\n\nStrong commercial judgment and analytical thinking, with demonstrated ability to navigate deadlines, ambiguity, changing priorities, and complex project requirements.\n\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
