Working closely with project managers, contractors, engineers, environmental professionals, and Indigenous communities, you'll play a key role in overseeing field activities, supporting safe project execution, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of quality and compliance.\nCandidates currently based in Yellowknife or elsewhere in the Northwest Territories are strongly encouraged to apply and bring their local knowledge and northern experience to our growing team\nYour Impact\nSupervise day-to-day construction and field activities on mine closure, environmental remediation, and civil construction projects\nCoordinate contractors, subcontractors, equipment, and site resources to support safe and efficient project delivery\nPromote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements\nMonitor project progress, productivity, quality, and schedules, proactively addressing field challenges\nConduct site inspections and verify work is completed in accordance with project specifications and contract requirements\nCollaborate with project managers, engineers, environmental professionals, contractors, and clients to support successful project execution\nPrepare daily reports, field documentation, progress updates, and project records\nSupport successful project delivery in remote and challenging northern environments\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nDiploma, degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in construction management, engineering technology, environmental sciences, or a related discipline\nMinimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision, site coordination, contract administration, or related field leadership roles\nExperience supporting civil construction, mine closure, environmental remediation, earthworks, infrastructure, or industrial projects\nStrong understanding of construction methods, contractor management, and field safety practices\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in remote locations and outdoor environments\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools\nExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nBased in Yellowknife or the Northwest Territories and able to leverage local knowledge, relationships, and northern experience to support successful project delivery.\n\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
