In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with brilliant minds and contribute to high-profile projects that are changing the landscape of our world.\nThe Coring, Water & Traffic (CWT) Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Coring Technician with a minimum of 5 years of coring experience to support and lead field operations across Ontario. This individual will be responsible for supervising coring crews, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery, developing staff, and helping grow the coring division through operational excellence and client engagement.\nYour Impact\nLead daily coring field operations for geotechnical, environmental, pavement, and infrastructure projects.\nSupervise and mentor junior technicians and field personnel.\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company HSE standards and procedures.\nOperate and maintain coring equipment safely and efficiently.\nPlan field activities, manage resources, and coordinate project logistics.\nCommunicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and field staff.\nEnsure quality control and accurate documentation of field activities.\nAssist with equipment selection, maintenance planning, and fleet management.\nIdentify opportunities for business growth and support proposal development and client relationships.\nParticipate in recruiting, training, and developing future coring technicians.\nSupport integration of coring services with drilling, traffic control, and well services within the CWT Group.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nEngineering;Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete coring, asphalt coring or related field services.\n\nDemonstrated experience leading field crews and managing project schedules.\n\nStrong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe work practices.\n\nExperience operating coring rigs, support equipment, and utility locating equipment is considered an asset.\n\nValid Ontario Class G Driver's License with a clean driving record.\n\nAbility to travel throughout Ontario and work in varying weather and site conditions.\n\nExperience with traffic control operations and field investigations is an asset.\n\nExperience working within engineering consulting, construction, or environmental sectors.\n\nKnowledge of drilling, groundwater monitoring, and field investigation methods.\n\nFirst Aid, Working at Heights, Traffic Control Person, and other industry certifications are considered assets.\n\nWhy choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
