Project Coordinators bring together architects, structural and services engineers, along with specialist designers and BIM technicians to create coordinated designs which are used during the build and aid maintenance of the structure/s once complete.\nAs a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for looking after teams of designers to ensure project documentation is produced on time to the appropriate level of detail and technical completeness for the design milestone.\nWhat you will do\nThis is a challenging role that will see you lead the delivery of best-practice consulting services to Defence clients throughout Australia and collaborate with other discipline leaders to deliver multi-disciplinary projects in the Defence sector.\nYou will be part of our accomplished Property & Buildings section and will work alongside our established team of Engineering technical experts, assisting in bidding and delivering successful projects. Your role will also be well supported across our business, with skilled resources in other sections.\nOverall design responsibility on medium/large scale Defence Projects. \nDeliver best practice consulting services to clients, focusing on Defence projects across Australia.\nClient relationship management including managing key Defence infrastructure contractor client relationships and the development of relationships with new clients.\nSupport for proposal submission / preparation in the pursuit of Defence sector opportunities.\nLeadership of project teams and project management including budgetary and quality control for consulting assignments.\nLeverage the strength and depth of the team across Australia to deliver efficient, practical and innovative solutions to clients in the Defence sector.\nLiaising with technical specialists from other disciplines or offices, building relationships with key internal stakeholders working in Defence both geographically and across various services lines.\nMentoring and coaching staff with respect to their career growth and professional development.\nParticipation in the national and global communities within projects and Defence industry groups.About you\n\nBachelor to Masters’ level degree in relevant discipline.\n3-10 years of relevant design management experience within Australia.\nExperience within the Australian Defence sector is essential.\n Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence security clearance is essential - only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible). \nCompetent in managing risk on projects including contractual and commercial risks.\nEstablished processes for identifying, managing and monitoring risks to project outcomes in particular safety management and design.\nCollaborative approach and ability to lead & build teams and rapport amongst clients, colleagues and other industry leaders.\nKnowledge and understanding of all engineering disciplines.\nExperience in coordination of engineering services and architectural design.\nExperience in resourcing and managing a wide range of professional disciplines and subcontractors in a project.\nExpertise in managing medium to large size project budgets and using financial tools successfully.\nExperience in creating a project culture aligned to our values yet distinct to individual projects and project outcomes.\nAt WSP you’ll find the scale and reach you need to do the kind of work the world needs - and the culture and people that make it the best work of your life.\nSome of the many benefits we offer our employees include:\nFlexible working hours and working from home\nGlobal mobility\nParental leave & purchased additional annual leave\nCorporate employee discounts and offers\nSalary continuance insurance\nWellness at work & social club\nWorkplace giving /volunteering\nEmployee reward & recognition program\nProfessional and technical development opportunities\nImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.\nJoin our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
