You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.\nA little bit more about your role.\nA hybrid role, the candidate will be given dedicated headspace to grow our Roads business in a new sector as well as doing client facing, billable work.\nWe are looking for someone with experience in the following sectors;\nDefence & security, aviation, rail, design & build, healthcare, education, science & technology, datacentres, ports, logistics and water.\n\nThe candidate will be based locally within our London (Westferry Circus), Basingstoke or Cambridge offices.\nIn this role your responsibilities will include:\nBeing a champion of our health, safety, and well-being culture by leading by example.\nSpending time with clients and industry partners to build strong, trusting relationships and enhance WSP’s external market presence and profile with key clients and partners. \nLead on business development activities to bring in new, sustainable opportunities for WSP.\nDevelop a pipeline of opportunities within the dedicated sector.\nCoordinate with other business and sector/ client leaders to ensure alignment, share best practice and resources, and represent the Regional Business when pursuing multidisciplinary work. \nDeliver funding (sales) and revenue targets within the Region for the dedicated sector.\nLead key accounts and client relationships as required for the sector.\nParticipating in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise.\nAgreeing fees and managing the commercial position on projects.\nSupporting and working with the Regional Director, Growth Director and wider Regional Leadership Team to deliver their goals for the region.\nContribute to Regional Business Unit initiatives, best practice, and value propositions.\n\nProvide visible growth leadership to the wider team, helping to upskill and develop capabilities in growth, bidding, client and account management. \nCo-ordinate with relevant leaders to ensure the effective deployment of competent and experienced resources to bids and the mobilisation of projects.\nLeading on projects to ensure technical quality and timely delivery. \nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\nExperience in a growth focussed role. \nExperience of working for a consultancy business across a specific sector. \nExperience of operating at management level in delivering services into the public and private sector.\nAbility to champion client-centric delivery excellence by embedding a strong understanding of client needs and consistently ensuring right-first time, high-quality outcomes. \nSkills and Personal Qualities:\nStrong communication skills, with excellent stakeholder management.\nLead, inspire and motivate a team to support the achievement of business goals.\nOrganisational skills to coordinate the delivery activities of a professional team.\nClear understanding of the importance of robust business processes and systems and a strong commitment to quality.\nStrong influencing skills particularly amongst peers and other managers and leaders.\nAbility to work openly and collaboratively to maximise overall organisational benefit.\nStrong commercial acumen.\nTechnical expertise to manage and lead multi-disciplinary projects.\nGood client handling and interpersonal skills are essential. \nImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.\nJoin our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
