This individual will assist managing and provide technical support on a variety of industrial hygiene (IH) and environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance projects.\nYour Impact\nManage IH projects, including generating proposals, performing and supervising field work, developing technical reports, and mentoring junior staff.\nParticipate with EHS audits and EHS program development projects. \nConduct field assignments, such as performing industrial hygiene monitoring, noise assessments, hazardous materials surveying and abatement monitoring, mold inspections and remediation monitoring, indoor air quality assessments, chemical inventory assessments, ergonomics assessments, job hazard assessments and similar assignments.\nPrepare technical reports, including documentation of field investigative procedures, data management and interpretation, and development of graphical and tabular presentation of data.\nCultivate relationships with clients and drive business development efforts, identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow WSP’s IH national practice.\nManage and mentor junior industrial hygiene entry level and experienced professionals, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer to enhance team performance.\nPrepare and submit periodic regulatory reports.\nConsult and assist facilities with health and safety needs.\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or eligible to obtain this certification within 2 years of being hired\nBachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or closely related discipline.\n5-7+ years or more of relevant post education experience in IH or related work, preferably in consulting.\nExperience with auditing EHS programs in industrial settings.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing, proposal writing, and developing presentations.\nCapable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.\nEffective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\nAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.\nTravel of up to 50% of your time may be required depending on project-specific requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nConsulting experience \nExperience with conducting IH assessments in manufacturing environments\nWorking knowledge of EHS/IH digital platforms such as Enablon, Cority., etc. \nMaster’s degree Industrial Hygiene.\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP)\n40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.\nBasic First Aid and Adult CPR training
