People who get it.\nWe are the home of ambitious, passionate, and innovative world shapers.\nWith an unmatched breadth and depth of engineering, advisory and science-based expertise, our global minds unite to power local solutions.\nWe are pathfinders and impact makers.\nWe are Visioneers.\nWe are WSP.\nThe Opportunity\nBuild the future with us.\nAs a Distribution Line Engineer with WSP’s Distribution team in any of our Ontario offices, you’ll help design resilient power systems that keep communities connected, energized, and ready for tomorrow.\nWorking within our Power Delivery subsector, you’ll support low- to medium-voltage overhead and underground distribution projects that modernize energy infrastructure and solve real power delivery challenges.\nYou’ll grow your technical expertise through meaningful project work, mentorship, and collaboration with a supportive team of engineers, designers, and stakeholders.\nYour Impact\nDesign overhead and underground power distribution systems for projects ranging from customer connections to large-scale system reconfigurations.\nPrepare engineering calculations, design packages, equipment sizing, material specifications, and construction documentation.\nApply distribution design software, relevant codes, and standards, including CSA, to deliver accurate and compliant designs.\nCoordinate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to support seamless project delivery, estimates, schedules, bids, and engineering support.\nConduct quality reviews, site visits, and construction-phase support to maintain safety, accuracy, and project standards.\nStrengthen client relationships and contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and high-quality project outcomes.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nDegree in Engineering and P.ENG in Ontario or near final stages of license.\nBetween 5 to 10 years experience with distribution line design (4 kV-35 kV), overhead/underground systems, and utility standards.\nExposure to non-linear powerline design software such as PLS-CADD, SPIDAcalc, etc\nProficiency with distribution modelling, structure analysis tools, and CAD/drafting interfaces - \nFamiliarity with CSA standards, utility construction practices, grounding, clearances, and load calculations.\nStrong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance safety, cost, and performance.\nAbility to work collaboratively across engineering, environmental, and planning disciplines.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
