This is your chance to shape the future of transportation while advancing your career in a supportive, dynamic environment in our Ontario Highway Design Team in one of our offices (Thunder Bay or Sudbury)\nYour Impact\nLead Technical Delivery: Ensure the successful design of highways and drainage systems using advanced tools like OpenRoads, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, and more\nField Engagement: Participate in site visits to assess and document existing conditions\nDesign & Analysis: Prepare alignments, geometrics, cost estimates, quantity calculations, technical reports, and memos\nCollaborate Across Disciplines: Coordinate design inputs from multiple teams for seamless project execution\nProject Planning: Develop level-of-effort estimates, contribute to design schedules, and assist with construction timelines\nProposal Support: Provide input for proposals and contribute to innovation and “Future Ready” initiatives\nQuality Assurance: Review and check designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance\nMentorship: Guide and support junior team members to foster growth and excellence\nClient Interaction: Attend technical meetings, prepare presentations, and document meeting minutes\nThe skills that set you apart\nDegree or diploma in Civil Engineering\n5-10 years of experience in highway/roadway design (MTO projects preferred)\nP.Eng or Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist designation (an asset)\nExperience with Design-Build/P3 projects (an asset)\nKnowledge of Ontario environmental standards, guidelines, and design manuals\nFamiliarity with OpenRoads and MTO CPS/HICO (an asset)\nBIM experience (an asset)\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines\nValid G driver’s license (an asset)\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWhy Choose WSP?
