In this intermediate role, you will help develop practical HVAC and mechanical infrastructure solutions, contribute across the full project lifecycle, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mission-critical and advanced-computing environments.\nYour Impact\nLead the mechanical design of small to medium-sized projects and support senior engineers on larger, more complex assignments.\n\nDevelop HVAC and building mechanical infrastructure solutions for resilient, high-performance facilities.\n\nContribute from planning and concept development through construction and project closeout.\n\nCollaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders to coordinate integrated designs.\n\nConduct site reviews, support construction administration, and resolve field-related mechanical design issues.\n\nApply your knowledge of mission-critical facilities, data centres, and highly resilient building systems to strengthen project outcomes.\n\nSupport mechanical systems serving high-density AI, HPC, and other advanced-computing environments.\n\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior designers and engineers.\n\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.\n\nRegistered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT), or eligibility for registration in British Columbia.\n\nExperience leading mechanical design for small to medium-sized projects and supporting larger, more complex assignments.\n\nSolid technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and building mechanical infrastructure.\n\nUnderstanding of the full project lifecycle, from planning and concept development through construction and closeout.\n\nExperience conducting site reviews, supporting construction administration, and addressing field-related mechanical design issues.\n\nExperience with mission-critical facilities, data centres, highly resilient building systems, high-density AI, HPC, or advanced-computing environments is a strong asset.\n\nExperience mentoring, coaching, or providing technical guidance to junior designers and engineers.\n\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
