In this role, you’ll apply your metallurgy expertise to exciting mining and mineral processing projects, making a tangible impact on project success and sustainable resource development.\nAs an Intermediate Metallurgist in our ERI Metals and Mining group, you will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to planning and executing studies and detailed engineering for new processing plants as well as upgrades to existing facilities. Ideally, this position will be located in our Saskatoon office.\nYour Impact\nSupport metallurgical studies and engineering projects for mineral processing facilities from concept through detailed design.\nCollaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to define project requirements and communicate technical findings.\nDevelop mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), equipment sizing calculations, and process design criteria.\nCoordinate laboratory and pilot-scale test work programs, analyze results, and translate findings into practical design recommendations.\nContribute to capital and operating cost estimates, technical reports, and study deliverables.\nAssist in preparing technical specifications, procurement packages, and engineering documentation.\nWork closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality technical solutions on schedule and within budget.\nSupport innovation, continuous improvement, and the successful delivery of mining and metallurgical projects.\nThe Skills That Set You Apart\nBachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.\n5-10 years of relevant experience in mineral processing and metallurgical engineering.\nEligible for, or registered as, a P.Eng. with the appropriate provincial engineering association.\nExperience developing process designs, mass balances, and equipment selection packages.\nFamiliarity with laboratory test work programs and interpretation of metallurgical results.\nExperience in mining, consulting, engineering, or industrial processing environments.\nStrong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills; bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.\nWhy Choose WSP?\nWe exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
